Today I am, officially, a published author.
Wow.
Um...
I'm also pissed off.
It was fine that they spelt my name wrong on the program, and then pronounced it wrong when they introduced me and then again when they called me up to read out my work, but...
They spelt it wrong in the book. THE GODDAMN BOOK!
I am also confused as to why they picked that stupid poem. I can't even remember why I wrote it, or what it's about. I can't figure out how it connects to the theme of the anthology, "Those Moments", or why they picked over the four other entries I submitted.
All in all, I'm angry and resentful and tomorrow I'm going to demand an apology from the team that put the book together. I would have done it tonight, but I didn't want to make a scene.
Its days like this that I really hate my mum for choosing the name she did. It's only one little h, but it's going to be the bane of my existence for as long as I shall live.
But, on the other hand, there's no way I'm giving up my title as 'The Laughing Princess'.
Also, the poem's here [link] if anyone's interested.
